Some people believe that people's needs for farmland, housing and industry are more important than protecting land for endangered animals. I disagree with this opinion. Although human needs are important, I think we must also save land for endangered animals.
On the one hand, I understand why some people think human needs are more important. The world's population is growing quickly, so we need more land to grow food, build houses and develop industry. In many poor countries, people need land for farming to feed their families and earn money. For example, in some parts of Africa and Asia, farmers cut down forests to grow crops because they have no other way to make a living. Factories and industries also create jobs and help countries to develop.
On the other hand, I believe that saving land for endangered animals is also very important. Firstly, every animal species plays a role in nature. If one species disappears, it can affect many other plants and animals, and the whole ecosystem may be damaged. For example, bees are very important for pollinating crops, and without them, we would have less food. Secondly, once an animal becomes extinct, it is gone forever. We cannot bring it back. Many animals, such as tigers, elephants and rhinos, are in danger of extinction because their habitats are being destroyed. Thirdly, natural areas such as forests and wetlands also help people, because they provide clean air and water and protect us from floods.
In my opinion, we can meet human needs and protect animals at the same time. For example, governments can use land more efficiently, build taller buildings in cities and use modern farming methods to grow more food on less land.
In conclusion, I disagree that human needs are more important than saving land for endangered animals. We should find a balance between development and protecting nature.
