Some people believe that governments should not spend money on building theatres and sports stadiums, and should spend more on healthcare and education instead. I partly agree with this opinion, because healthcare and education are more important, but I think theatres and stadiums are also useful for society.
On the one hand, it is clear that healthcare and education should be the top priorities for governments. Good healthcare saves lives and helps people to live longer and healthier lives. In many countries, hospitals are overcrowded, and there are not enough doctors, nurses and medicines. Education is also very important, because it gives young people knowledge and skills to find good jobs and helps the country to develop. For example, many schools in poor areas do not have enough teachers, books or computers. Therefore, governments should spend more money on these areas.
On the other hand, I believe that theatres and sports stadiums are also important. Firstly, sports facilities encourage people to do exercise, which keeps them healthy. If people are healthy, they will not need to go to hospital so often, so the government can save money on healthcare. Secondly, theatres help to protect and develop a country's culture and give people a place to relax and enjoy themselves. Thirdly, stadiums and theatres can attract tourists and create jobs. For example, when a country hosts a big sports event such as the Olympic Games or the World Cup, many tourists come, which brings a lot of money.
In my opinion, governments should spend most of their money on healthcare and education, but they should also spend some money on theatres and sports facilities.
In conclusion, I partly agree with this opinion. Healthcare and education are the most important, but culture and sport are also necessary for a happy and healthy society.
