Nowadays, many qualified people, such as engineers, computer experts and doctors, move from poor countries to rich countries to work. Some people think that rich countries are stealing from poor countries, while others believe that this is just a natural movement of workers. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my opinion.
On the one hand, some people believe that rich countries are stealing from poor countries. Poor countries spend a lot of money to educate and train these workers, for example in universities and hospitals. When these people move to rich countries, poor countries lose their investment and their skilled workers. As a result, poor countries do not have enough doctors, nurses and engineers. For example, some African countries have a serious shortage of doctors because many of them work in Europe or America. This makes it harder for poor countries to develop.
On the other hand, other people think that this is a natural movement of workers. Everyone has the right to choose where they live and work. Skilled workers move to rich countries because they can earn higher salaries and have better working conditions. In addition, many of them send money back to their families in their home countries, which helps the economy. Some of them also return home later with more experience and skills.
In my opinion, both views are partly true. People have the right to move for better opportunities, but rich countries should help poor countries, for example by supporting education and health care in those countries.
In conclusion, although the movement of skilled workers is natural, I think it can harm poor countries, so rich countries should take responsibility and help them.
