In today's competitive world, in many families both parents have to go out to work. Some people believe that children in these families benefit from the extra income, while others think that they do not get enough support because their parents are not at home. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my opinion.
On the one hand, children can benefit from the extra money. When both parents work, the family has a higher income, so they can afford a better house, healthy food and good education for their children. For example, parents can pay for extra classes, music lessons, sports activities or a good university for their children. They can also travel together during holidays, which helps children learn about the world. In addition, working parents can be good role models for their children, showing them the importance of hard work.
On the other hand, children may not get enough attention and support. When both parents work full-time, they may come home late and feel tired, so they do not have much time to talk to their children, help them with homework or listen to their problems. Some children spend a lot of time alone or with babysitters, and they may feel lonely. As a result, they may have problems at school, or spend too much time playing games and using the internet.
In my opinion, children can benefit from both parents working, as long as the parents spend quality time with them. For example, they can have dinner together every day and do activities together at the weekend.
In conclusion, I believe that children benefit from the extra income, but parents must make sure that they still give their children enough time, love and support.
