In the past, people went shopping only because they needed to buy food and other necessary things. However, nowadays many people think of shopping as a hobby. In my opinion, this trend has some positive points, but overall it is a negative development.

On the one hand, shopping as a hobby can have some benefits. Firstly, it helps people to relax and have fun. Many people go to shopping malls at the weekend with their friends or family to look at new products, eat in restaurants and watch films. This can be a good way to spend free time together. Secondly, when people spend more money, it helps the economy. Shops and companies can sell more products, so they can create more jobs for people.

On the other hand, I think this trend also has many negative effects. Firstly, some people spend too much money on things they do not need, such as clothes, shoes and electronic devices. As a result, they may have money problems or get into debt, especially when they use credit cards. Secondly, buying too many things is bad for the environment. Factories use a lot of energy and resources to make products, and many products are thrown away after a short time, which creates a lot of waste. Thirdly, people who see shopping as a hobby may think that buying things is the most important thing in life, so they become materialistic.

In my opinion, shopping can be enjoyable, but people should not spend too much time and money on it. They should find other hobbies such as sport, reading or travelling.

In conclusion, although shopping as a hobby can help people relax and support the economy, I believe it is mainly a negative trend because it can cause money problems and harm the environment.

Bài mẫu band 7.0

281 từ. So với bài 6.0: lập luận sâu hơn, từ vựng chính xác và đa dạng hơn, câu phức dùng tự nhiên hơn.

Whereas shopping was once regarded mainly as a necessary chore, many people now see it as a leisure activity. Although this trend has some benefits, I believe that, on balance, it is more negative than positive.

There are certain advantages to treating shopping as a hobby. For many people, browsing in shops or online is an enjoyable way to relax and relieve stress, and shopping centres have become social spaces where families and friends spend time together, often combining shopping with dining or entertainment. From an economic perspective, higher consumer spending supports retail businesses and creates employment, which is beneficial for the economy as a whole.

However, the drawbacks of this trend are more significant. Firstly, it encourages excessive consumption. People who shop for pleasure often buy items they do not need, and the ease of online shopping and credit can lead to impulse purchases and personal debt. Secondly, this culture of consumption has serious environmental consequences. The production of goods, particularly fast fashion and electronics, consumes large amounts of resources and energy, and many items are discarded after only a short time, contributing to waste and pollution. Furthermore, viewing shopping as a hobby may promote materialistic values, encouraging people to seek happiness and status through possessions rather than through relationships or personal achievements.
