Some university students like to study other subjects as well as their main subject, while others think they should spend all their time on getting their qualification. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my opinion.

On the one hand, some people think students should only focus on their main subject. University courses are often difficult and students have a lot of assignments and exams. If they spend time on other subjects, they may not have enough time to study well and they could get lower marks. In addition, a good qualification is very important for finding a job after graduation. For example, a student who studies medicine needs to study very hard to become a good doctor, so they do not have time for other subjects.

On the other hand, other people believe that learning other subjects is useful. Firstly, it helps students to have wider knowledge and new skills. For example, an engineering student who learns a foreign language or business can have more job opportunities in the future. Secondly, studying different subjects can make students more creative, because they can use ideas from one area in another area. Moreover, it can make university life more interesting and less stressful.

In my opinion, students should focus mainly on their main subject, but they should also learn some other subjects if they have time. This is because employers today want people who have many skills, not only knowledge of one subject.

In conclusion, both views have good reasons. However, I believe that learning other subjects together with the main subject is better for students' future.

284 từ. So với bài 6.0: lập luận sâu hơn, từ vựng chính xác và đa dạng hơn, câu phức dùng tự nhiên hơn.

While some university students choose to study a range of subjects beyond their main discipline, others prefer to concentrate entirely on obtaining their qualification. Both approaches have merit, but I believe that taking an interest in other subjects is more beneficial in the long term.

Those who favour a narrow focus argue that university courses are demanding and require considerable time and effort. By dedicating themselves fully to their main subject, students are more likely to achieve high grades, which can be crucial when applying for jobs or postgraduate study. This is particularly true in competitive and specialised fields such as medicine or law, where students must master a large body of knowledge in a limited time. Distractions from other subjects could therefore put their academic success at risk.

On the other hand, there are strong arguments for broadening one's studies. In today's job market, employers increasingly value graduates with a wide range of skills and the ability to think across disciplines. For example, a computer science student who also studies psychology may be better equipped to design user-friendly software, while an engineer with knowledge of economics may be more effective in managing projects. Studying other subjects can also stimulate creativity and help students discover new interests that may shape their future careers.
