Some people think that people nowadays are not interested in keeping the traditional culture of their country. However, others believe that it is still important for people to protect traditional ways of life. In this essay, I will discuss both views and give my opinion.

On the one hand, it seems that many people, especially young people, are not interested in traditional culture anymore. Because of globalisation and the internet, young people prefer to watch foreign films, listen to pop music and eat fast food. For example, many teenagers in my country know more about Korean pop music than traditional folk songs. In addition, people are very busy with work and study, so they do not have time to learn traditional skills such as handicrafts or traditional cooking.

On the other hand, many people still think that traditional culture is very important. Traditional festivals, such as the Lunar New Year in Vietnam, are still celebrated by almost everyone, and families come together to cook traditional food and visit relatives. Moreover, many governments and communities try to protect old buildings, traditional music and handicrafts, because they are part of the national identity. Traditional culture also attracts tourists, which helps the economy.

In my opinion, although modern life has changed a lot, most people still care about their traditional culture. They may not follow all the old customs, but they still want to keep the most important traditions.

In conclusion, some people believe that traditional culture is not important anymore, but I think that people still want to preserve their traditions, especially through festivals and family customs.

There is a widespread perception that modern people, particularly the young, have lost interest in their traditional culture, while others argue that preserving traditional ways of life still matters greatly to many people. In my view, although the way people engage with tradition has changed, interest in cultural heritage remains strong.

Those who believe that traditional culture is being neglected point to the impact of globalisation and technology. Young people today are exposed to a constant stream of international films, music, fashion and food through the internet, and many seem more familiar with global trends than with their own country's customs. Urbanisation has also weakened traditional communities, and busy lifestyles leave little time for learning traditional crafts, songs or dances. As a result, some traditional skills and languages are at risk of disappearing altogether.

On the other hand, there is considerable evidence that people still value their heritage. Major traditional festivals continue to be celebrated enthusiastically across generations, and many families make great efforts to return home for occasions such as the Lunar New Year. Furthermore, in an increasingly globalised world, many people feel a stronger need to maintain a distinct cultural identity. This can be seen in the growing popularity of heritage tourism, traditional cuisine and efforts by communities to revive local languages and crafts, often using social media to reach younger audiences.
