Many big cities have serious problems with traffic and housing. Some people think that these problems could be solved by moving large companies, factories and their workers to the countryside. I partly agree with this idea, because it can help to reduce some problems, but it also has some disadvantages.
On the one hand, moving companies and factories to the countryside can help big cities. Firstly, if many companies move out, there will be fewer people travelling to work in the city every day, so there will be fewer traffic jams. Secondly, when fewer people live in the city, the demand for housing will go down, so house prices and rents will become cheaper. Thirdly, factories cause a lot of pollution, so moving them out of cities will make the air in cities cleaner. Moreover, moving companies to the countryside can create jobs for people in rural areas, so they do not have to move to cities to find work.
On the other hand, this idea has some problems. Firstly, many employees may not want to move to the countryside, because their families, friends and children's schools are in the city. Secondly, the countryside often does not have good roads, hospitals, schools and other services, so the government would need to spend a lot of money to build them. Thirdly, factories may pollute the countryside and destroy farmland and natural areas. In addition, some companies need to be in cities, because they need to be close to their customers and other businesses.
In my opinion, moving some factories and companies to the countryside can help, but it cannot solve all the problems. Governments should also improve public transport and build more affordable housing in cities.
In conclusion, I partly agree that moving companies to the countryside could reduce traffic and housing problems, but other solutions are also needed.
