Advertising is everywhere in our lives, on TV, on the internet, in newspapers and on the streets. Some people think that advertising makes us buy things that we do not really need, while others believe that it gives us useful information about new products. In my opinion, both views are true, but I agree more with the first one.

On the one hand, advertising can be useful. It tells people about new products and services that can make their lives better. For example, advertisements can tell us about a new medicine, a safer car or a phone with better features. Without advertising, we may not know about these products. Advertising also helps people to compare prices and choose the best product for them. Moreover, it helps new companies to sell their products and grow their business.

On the other hand, I believe that advertising often encourages people to buy things they do not need. Advertisers are very clever. They use famous people, beautiful pictures and music to make products look attractive. They also make people feel that they will be happier, more beautiful or more successful if they buy a product. For example, many young people buy expensive clothes and the newest smartphones because of advertisements, even though their old ones are still good. This can make people waste money and even get into debt. It also creates a lot of waste, which is bad for the environment.

In my opinion, advertising gives us some useful information, but its main purpose is to make companies rich, not to improve our lives. Therefore, people should think carefully before they buy something.

In conclusion, although advertising can tell us about useful new products, I agree that it mainly encourages us to buy things that we do not really need.

300 từ. So với bài 6.0: lập luận sâu hơn, từ vựng chính xác và đa dạng hơn, câu phức dùng tự nhiên hơn.

Advertising has become an unavoidable part of modern life. While some people believe that it persuades us to buy unnecessary products, others argue that it informs us about innovations that can improve our lives. Although advertising does have an informative function, I agree more with the view that it mainly encourages unnecessary consumption.

Those who defend advertising argue that it plays a valuable role in informing consumers. Without advertisements, people might never learn about new products that could genuinely benefit them, such as energy-efficient appliances, improved medical treatments or safer vehicles. Advertising also allows consumers to compare features and prices, and it enables new businesses to reach customers and compete with established companies. From this perspective, advertising supports both consumer choice and economic growth.

However, I believe that the main purpose and effect of most advertising is to create desires rather than to meet genuine needs. Modern advertisements rarely focus on factual information; instead, they rely on emotional appeals, associating products with happiness, attractiveness, status or success. Celebrity endorsements and social media influencers are particularly effective in persuading young people that they need the latest fashion or gadget. As a result, many consumers replace items that are still perfectly usable, and some fall into debt to keep up with trends. This culture of excessive consumption also has serious environmental consequences, generating waste and depleting natural resources.
