International entertainers, such as film stars, singers and famous athletes, often earn millions of dollars every year. At the same time, many people in the world live in poverty. Some people think that these huge earnings are not justified. In my opinion, these earnings can be explained, but they are not fair when so many people are poor.

On the one hand, there are some reasons why entertainers earn so much money. Firstly, they have special talents that very few people have. For example, only a small number of people in the world can play football like Lionel Messi or sing like Taylor Swift. Secondly, they work very hard and train for many years to become successful. Thirdly, they make a lot of money for other people. Film studios, sports clubs, TV companies and advertisers earn huge profits because of them, so it is fair that they receive a share of this money. In addition, their careers are often short, especially for athletes.

On the other hand, I believe these huge earnings are not fully justified. Millions of people around the world do not have enough food, clean water or medical care. It seems unfair that one person can earn more in a week than many people earn in their whole lives. Moreover, many people who do very important jobs, such as doctors, nurses and teachers, earn much less money than entertainers.

In my opinion, entertainers should be allowed to earn high salaries, but they should also help society. They should pay fair taxes and give some of their money to charity. Many famous people already do this. For example, some footballers have built schools and hospitals in their home countries.

In conclusion, although entertainers' huge earnings can be explained by their talent and the money they bring, I believe they are not fully justified in a world with so much poverty.

International entertainers and sports stars frequently earn millions of dollars a year, while hundreds of millions of people around the world live in extreme poverty. Whether such enormous earnings can be justified is a difficult question. In my view, although these earnings can be explained by market forces, they are difficult to justify morally unless the individuals concerned contribute meaningfully to society.

There are several arguments in favour of high earnings for entertainers. Firstly, top performers possess exceptional and rare talents, developed through many years of dedication and hard work. Secondly, their earnings reflect the vast revenue they generate for others. Film studios, record labels, sports clubs, broadcasters and sponsors earn huge profits from their popularity, and it seems reasonable that the stars themselves should receive a significant share. Thirdly, careers in entertainment and sport are often short and uncertain, so high earnings must provide security for the rest of their lives. From an economic perspective, their pay is simply the result of supply and demand.

However, the fact that these earnings can be explained does not necessarily mean they are justified. In a world where millions of children die each year from preventable diseases and lack of food, it is difficult to accept that a single individual can earn hundreds of times more than a doctor or teacher, whose work is arguably far more essential to human well-being. Such extreme inequality raises serious moral questions about how society values different kinds of work.
