Đề bài

In a recent survey conducted
in this country, it was found that up to 20% of twelve year-olds in some schools
were showing early signs of nicotine addiction.

In the eighteen to twenty year age bracket the percentage was as high as 70%. A
large contributing factor to this high level of addiction is attributed to the uncensored
TV advertising of cigarettes.

For this reason all cigarette advertising should be banned.

A recent survey found that up to 20% of twelve-year-olds in some schools showed early signs of nicotine addiction, and the figure was as high as 70% for people aged 18 to 20. Many people believe that cigarette advertising on TV is a big cause of this problem, so all cigarette advertising should be banned. I strongly agree with this opinion.

Firstly, cigarette advertisements have a strong influence on young people. They often show smokers as cool, attractive, successful and confident. Young people, especially teenagers, want to look like the people in these advertisements, so they start smoking. Because children and teenagers are easily influenced, advertising can encourage them to try cigarettes at a young age.

Secondly, smoking is very harmful to health. It causes many serious diseases, such as lung cancer, heart disease and breathing problems. It is also very addictive, so when young people start smoking, it is very difficult for them to stop. Therefore, it does not make sense to allow companies to advertise a product that kills so many people.

Thirdly, banning cigarette advertising has worked in many countries. For example, in countries where cigarette advertising is banned, the number of young smokers has decreased.

However, some people argue that banning advertising is against the freedom of business, and that smoking is a personal choice. I think that the health of young people is more important than the profits of tobacco companies.

In addition to banning advertising, the government should also educate young people about the dangers of smoking and increase the price of cigarettes.

In conclusion, I strongly agree that all cigarette advertising should be banned, because it encourages young people to smoke and smoking is very harmful to health.

Bài mẫu band 7.0

279 từ. So với bài 6.0: lập luận sâu hơn, từ vựng chính xác và đa dạng hơn, câu phức dùng tự nhiên hơn.

According to a recent survey, up to 20% of twelve-year-olds in some schools are already showing signs of nicotine addiction, rising to 70% among 18- to 20-year-olds, and uncensored television advertising of cigarettes is believed to be a major contributing factor. In light of this, I strongly agree that all cigarette advertising should be banned.

The main reason is that advertising has a powerful influence on young people. Tobacco advertisements typically associate smoking with glamour, independence, attractiveness and social success, images that are particularly appealing to adolescents who are developing their identities and seeking acceptance. Because young people are more impressionable than adults, they are especially vulnerable to such messages, and many are persuaded to try smoking before they fully understand the risks.

Secondly, the health consequences of smoking are severe. Tobacco use is one of the leading causes of preventable death worldwide, responsible for lung cancer, heart disease, stroke and chronic respiratory illnesses. Nicotine is also highly addictive, meaning that those who start smoking young often find it extremely difficult to quit. Allowing a product with such devastating effects to be promoted freely, particularly to children, cannot be justified.
