It has been many years since humans first landed on the moon. Some people believe that space research is a waste of money, and that the money should be spent on problems on Earth. I disagree with this opinion, because space research brings many benefits to people.

On the one hand, I understand why some people think space research is a waste of money. Space programmes are very expensive. Governments spend billions of dollars on rockets, satellites and space stations. At the same time, there are many problems on Earth, such as poverty, hunger, disease and climate change. Some people believe that this money should be used to help poor people, build hospitals and schools, and protect the environment.

On the other hand, I believe that space research is very useful. Firstly, it has led to many inventions that we use in our daily lives. For example, technologies such as GPS, weather forecasting, satellite television and some medical equipment were developed thanks to space research. Satellites also help us to communicate around the world and to warn people about storms and natural disasters. Secondly, space research helps us to understand the Earth better. Satellites can watch changes in the climate, forests and oceans, which helps scientists to find ways to protect the environment. Thirdly, space research creates many jobs for scientists and engineers, and it encourages young people to study science and technology.

In my opinion, governments should continue to spend money on space research, but they should also make sure that enough money is spent on solving problems on Earth. International cooperation can also help countries to share the cost of space research.

In conclusion, although space research is very expensive, I do not think it is a waste of money, because it brings many important benefits to people on Earth.

Bài mẫu band 7.0

313 từ. So với bài 6.0: lập luận sâu hơn, từ vựng chính xác và đa dạng hơn, câu phức dùng tự nhiên hơn.

More than half a century has passed since humans first set foot on the moon, yet some people still regard space research as a waste of money. While I understand this view, I strongly disagree with it, as space exploration has produced, and continues to produce, significant benefits for life on Earth.

Those who oppose space research argue that the enormous sums involved could be better spent on urgent problems at home. Space programmes cost billions of dollars, while millions of people around the world still lack access to clean water, adequate healthcare and education. From this perspective, sending rockets to the moon or Mars appears to be an expensive luxury, especially for developing countries with limited resources.

However, I believe that this argument overlooks the practical benefits of space research. Many technologies that we use every day were developed or improved as a result of space programmes, including satellite navigation, weather forecasting, global telecommunications and advances in materials and medical imaging. Satellites now play a vital role in monitoring natural disasters, enabling authorities to warn communities about hurricanes and floods and potentially saving thousands of lives. In addition, Earth observation satellites provide essential data on climate change, deforestation and the melting of polar ice, helping scientists and governments to understand and respond to environmental problems.
