The pie chart shows the percentage of passenger cars produced in different regions of the world in 2015.
Overall, Greater China and Europe produced the most cars, while South America and the Middle East and Africa produced the fewest. Most of the world's cars were made in only four regions.
Greater China was the biggest producer of passenger cars, with 26% of the world total. Europe was very close behind with 25%, so these two regions together made about half of all passenger cars in the world. North America was in third place with 19%, and Japan and Korea produced 16% of the cars.
The other three regions produced a much smaller percentage of cars. South Asia made 8% of the world's passenger cars, which was half of the figure for Japan and Korea. South America only produced 4%, and the Middle East and Africa had the smallest share at just 2%. This shows that car production in these regions was very low compared to the others.
